Northern Pump Adds to Engineering Team
JANUARY 12, 2012 - GRANTSBURG, WI - McNally Industries is pleased to announce the addition of Mikel Pitan as a Principal Design and Applications Engineer for the Northern Pump Division. Mike joins the Northern team after a wide range of pump related project management educational experiences. The newly graduated mechanical engineer has spent a great deal of time as an intern in the pump industry, and is well on his way to becoming extremely well prepared to handle custom design projects. His studies focused on external gear and other pump performance characteristics. He also has demonstrated the ability to lead other engineering students. Mike is well versed in SolidWorks and will be leading efforts to analyze and develop many new potential pumping solutions.
Mike earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He is an associate member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers and is preparing to pursue certification as a licensed Professional Engineer.
Mike also enjoys hunting, fishing, fly-tying, camping, and spending time with his family.
Mike will be the point of contact for any technical or engineering related questions regarding our pumps. Along with Cassie McKenzie, Mike will also serve as another point of contact for new pumping applications.
As a result of Northern Pump’s dramatic increase in custom projects, Nate Smith has been assigned as Configuration Specialist. This will allow him to focus on drafting functions, creating custom operation and maintenance manuals, as well as other pump configurations. Nate is also leading the effort to digitalize Northern’s 15,000 drawings.
Rounding out the Engineering team is Denny Stordahl, as Manufacturing Process Engineer. He was promoted in July and is responsible for engineering all aspects of the pump component manufacturing process.

October 7, 2010 - GRANTSBURG, WI - McNally Industries is pleased to announce the addition of Nathanael Smith as a Principal Design and Applications Engineer for the Northern Pump Division
Prior to joining the Northern team, Nathanael received his first taste of the manufacturing industry as an apprentice machinist. He operated a variety machines and performed various manufacturing duties before pursuing his college education. He earned an Associates Degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
Outside of work, Nathanael enjoys hiking, canoeing, reading, and spending time with family.

Northern-pump.com Receives Complete Factory Rebuild
August 17th 2010 - Grantsburg WI - Northern Pump has launched a brand new website, at www.northern-pump.com. The dramatically redesigned site was created by the Northern Pump team. The goal of the new site is to tell the full story of how Northern Pump can fit into difficult pumping applications.
The site's homepage is based on several key industries where our pumps are commonly used. It has a very clean and uncluttered look to make it easy to see how Northern Pumps can save you money. On our dynamic Custom Pump page, you see all of the options that we can design into a custom pump for your application. Each industry page gives a brief description of how Northern Pumps have been successful in the field and throughout the industry.
In our support services pages, we have added online forms for easy proposal requests on replacement pumps and parts. Scheduling a factory overhaul and other maintenance requires only a brief visit and a mouse click.

Northern® Pump Team Modifies Starting Lineup
June 8th 2010 - GRANTSBURG, WI - McNally Industries is pleased to announce the addition of Cassie Lundquist as the Marketing and Sales Representative for the Northern Pump Division. Prior to joining the Northern team, Cassie has served in various roles in the manufacturing industry including; Marketing Assistant and Web Analyst. Cassie's expertise in the marketing and sales field will greatly enhance Northern Pump's ability to interact with their diverse range of customers. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Applied Mathematics.
Cassie enjoys scrap-booking, gardening, and other outdoor activities. She also coaches volleyball and basketball during the winter months.
Cassie will be the point of contact for placing orders, questions regarding replacement pumps, pump repairs, parts, as well as Northern-Pump.com.

Northern ® Pump Leadership Change
March 1, 2010 – Grantsburg WI - McNally Industries is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Antonich to Product Manager, Northern Pump Division effective February 1st, 2010. Since joining McNally Industries in 2006, Randy has served in various roles within the manufacturing, estimating, and engineering departments. Randy's most recent position of Senior Design & Applications Engineer for the Northern Pump Division was the stepping stone to this new assignment. Randy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (Industrial Management), an Associates Degree from Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ (Manufacturing Technology) and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
